Sugar Tongs-Bowl-Coin Silver/Mid-19th Century-No Monogram-Unknown Maker Mark
This pair of sugar tongs is made of solid coin silver, and it dates to the mid-19. They are in good condition for their about 175 years age, with tight spring closure and have no monogram. It is forged and the motif, a simple flower with trailing bright‑cut leaves and a rope/leaf border decoration is hand‑engraved, not die‑struck as evidenced by the slight irregularity and darkened cut lines.
