A very old and pleasing Italian Apothecary or Drug Jar with repairs to the rim. Likely from the 17th century (or possibly earlier) as Bacchus was a popular subject of the period. The front of the jar shows a young Bacchus holding a glass with 'Fumarie' inscribed at the base.
